Last night, the Californian Supreme Court agreed to decide whether the backer of Proposition 8, the 2008 voter initiative that banned gay and lesbian marriages has the right to appeal a lower court decision that the ban was unconstitutional.

Apple removes ‘anti-gay’ iPhone app 30
3:45 PM — Apple has apparently removed an app from its iTunes store which rails against gay marriage and LGBT rights. The app, created by a Christian group, disappeared from the online store after media attention, first reported on PinkNews.co.uk.

12:02 PM — Australian politicians will ask voters whether gay marriage should be legalised after the Green Party won a motion on the issue. A recent poll commissioned by gay groups found 62 per cent of respondents in favour of the change.

Last week, California-based US District Judge Virginia Phillips ruled that the gay ban must end immediately. Yesterday, she issued a final ruling refusing to stay her order while the government appeals.
