    3:59 PM — A Botswana politician says he agrees with Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe's views on homosexuality. Pono Moatlhodi, who is the deputy speaker of the Botswana National Assembly, told a January meeting on HIV prevention that he would "never tolerate" gays and lesbians.

    6:25 AM — Fast food chain McDonalds has been accused of censoring gay news and support websites in New Zealand from its free wifi service. The hamburger giant blocks access to GayNZ, a New Zealand equivialent of PinkNews.co.uk as well as a number of LGBT support groups.

    11:20 AM — The head of the Catholic Church in Belgium has said that AIDS is "intrinsic justice" for homosexuality. Archbishop Andre-Joseph Leonard also said that elderly priests found to have sexually abused children should not be punished.
