11:47 AM — A lesbian couple from New York City are suing a Vermont inn for refusing to host their wedding party. Kate Baker and Ming Linsley said they were "saddened" and "shocked" when the Wildflower Inn in Lyndonville turned them away last autumn after the owners realised they were lesbians.

California firm agrees to drop gay websites ban in schools 5
2:45 PM — A California web filter provider has become the first major company to drop a feature which allows schools to ban gay websites. Lightspeed Systems says it is working to remove a filter which allows schools to block the non-adult educational or supportive LGBT websites.

2:34 PM — A lesbian teenager from Illinois has been given the right to wear a tuxedo to her prom. Belinda Sanchez, a student at Proviso East High School, was initially denied the right to wear the garment by principal Milton Patch.

12:02 PM — A school in Texas has banned all extra-curricular clubs in a move to deny a student's request to form a Gay-Straight Alliance that would bring together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight students. The group was to provide support and promote understanding between students.

US science professor ‘told students homosexuality is a mental illness’ 28
3:45 PM — A health science professor at an American college allegedly used the Bible to teach his students 'facts' about homosexuality. The American Civil Liberties Union says that at least two students at Fresno City College in California have complained over Professor Bradley Lopez' methods.

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon to fight gay adoption ban 5
5:46 PM — Lesbian actress Cynthia Nixon will be kicking off a campaign to repeal Florida's ban on gays and lesbians adopting. The Sex and the City star will kick off the American Civil Liberties Union's three-year campaign to end the ban this weekend at South Beach’s Shore Club.
