When you look at a straight player like Ben Cohen who seems to enjoy having gay fans and goes out of his way to acknowledge them, and then compare that to some of the rankly unpleasant comments that come from football players, there can't be any doubt that one sport prizes its intelligence and decency while the other is still struggling. As professional sports go, rugby seems to be very cool and sorted when it comes to sexual orientation.
