As much as I think these people need to be taken to task, I think getting the right to apply to a bunch of homophobes for your gay internet dating needs is a bit of a pointless victory. It's not like they're going to go the extra mile to find you Mr or Mrs Right, in fact they'd probably relish pairing you with the least suitable candidate just to spite you.

I notice that they have a UK site (eharmony.co.uk) which similarly doesn't accept gays. It's arguable whether (a) it is legal or not and (b) even if it were not whether this is the most important fight we have at the momement. however…

The UK site is co-branded with the Oxford Internet Institute, a department of the University. As an alumnus I feel offended that
my university gets into bed (as it were) with such bigots and I will tell it so.

Hate to say it, but I wouldn't join any dating club that wouldn't have me as a member. If they grudingly cave in to demands for gay dating, imagine the care they're going to put into matching you with a soulmate…I wouldn't trust them to find me a minicab.

Softly, softly, catchee monkey. You can't expect to win everything on the first round. As it is, they've been made to do something they had no intention of doing. Keep an eye on parity of treatment on the separate site and keep on fighting – and keep feeding the idea that a different site is a waste of time and effort.

Agree with Simon, this was a pointless endeavour… all that happened here is that they got free publicity and probably a load of extra business from sexually repressed christians.
