Revealing that he never told his parents, he said, "All I wanted was to be straight so my parents could be happy. They never, never, never knew."[3] Sendak's relationship with Glynn had been mentioned by other writers before (e.g., by Tony Kushner in 2003[4]) but his sexuality wasn't widely known before the New York Times article. This film doesn't come out until next year unless you had a private screening. I'm fine with a "behind the scenes" article as long as you've got something to say that I couldn't have guessed myself. Otherwise please wait till the preview screening or seeing it yourself at a cinema before calling it a review. OK, pedantic rant over... Still, having seen a rather cute kid/ wildthing interaction test for the movie on youtube, this could be great, though it needs a substantial amount of padding to pad out 10 sentances to a full 2 hours running time. Can't wait to see what the finalised Wild Things look like. It's the kind of stuff Jim Henson's studio used to do really well.
