		<description>I don&#039;t think there was much straight support in the UK on equality issues, not on the scale as seen in America.  More than 51% of voters polled in California support marriage equality in spite of a proposition to overturn it. That would be unheard of anywhere in the UK. Two states now allowing marriage, and another state mulling the abandonment of civil unions for marriage and if New York state takes control of the state senate in November, we&#039;ll see marriage equality legislation passed there too, a first.</description>
