Stonewall Cymru, the Welsh gay equality organisation, is working with police after stating that attacks on LGBT people are underreported.

In conjunction with North Wales Police, the organisation has produced a guide for victims of homophobic hate crime.

A Stonewall Cymru spokesperson told BBC News: "It's essential for victims of homophobic hate crime to understand that criminal justice agencies are there to help them."

The guide will be launched today at the Inter Change, Old Colwyn.

North Wales Police Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom and Social Justice Minister Brian Gibbons will attend the launch.

The launch will also include a theatre piece based on real experiences of homophobia written by Gruffudd Jones.
