This man deserves a very very slow and painful death ! The programme done recently by Louis Theroux about him, showed how biggoted and twisted him and his fellow members all are. But then hello, this is America where 'looney tunes' religions are two a penny ! Not to mention that tw…t Bush who leads the country, need one say any more ?????

Wow, the WBC folks are so obsessed with gays. I wonder what Freud would make of that? The Bible they profess to believe NEVER makes a negative comment about any gay or lesbian person in a committed, faithful, non-cultic partnership.

I think the documentary which will one day chronicle the rise and demise of the sad and dysfunctional Phelps family should be titled, Spitting In The Face of God.

Someone needs to help them memorize Matthew 7:12.

Omar – far be it from me to pick up on anyone else's typos – hell I've made a few howlers here, but I like what your typo suggests! Irradiating Iris Robinson and Fred Phelps would be fun, but where are we going to get the radioactive waste from? And what's to say they don't get superpowers and come back ten times as bad? That's how Godzilla happened! I don't relish a 100 ft high Iris Robinson. We need to think these things through

The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), the anti-gay Christian organisation, and their homophobic pastor Fred Phelps, and Iris Robinson the MP for Strangford who had recently suggested that all homosexuals should receive psychiatric treatment to help "cure" them, seem to have a lot in common.
Her comments are not fitting of a MLA let alone an MP. They show narrow-minded views and the belief that in Northern Ireland that bigotry is acceptable. A recent Downing Street petition attracted 15,714 Signatures (This petition is now closed, as its deadline has passed) on her recent comments about Homosexuality.
Every country has its share of hate mongers but sadly religion seems to be the common bond between them, and they just can’t seem to understand that “some people are gay. Get used to it”.
We are here to stay and the more you chastise and discriminate against us the louder we shall cry for Equality.
Its time the Nazis finally were irradiated from society.

I saw Mr. Phelps on a movie called "small town Gay bar". He was saying (and I'm paraphrasing) but this came out of his mouth, I heard him speak it: Well, with the Gays, there is just nothing you can do, they're doomed to hell. " So, if there is nothing to be done, why keep holding up posters "God hates fags?" etc.????

Before Fred Phelps I assumed "fag enabler" was some tortuous euphamism for a cigarette lighter.
Perhaps the next funeral they picket someone should allow them to participate fully by nailing them into the box with the deceased.
