Yoweri Museveni said the purpose of life was to create children and that homosexuality was a "negative foreign culture." Says who? A self retches bigot that is quite happy to let Religion dictate free will but not so much so that it will not accept handouts from the west as aid, which is partially funded by gay citizens.
“The government should not be tempted to legalise this backward culture which is bound to destroy this country." The only one who could be classified as backward would be the narrow minded bigot who said this, Ugandan Bishop Luzinda, and religion has no place in the 21st century politics of a modern world.
"Not all that comes from Europe is superior and must be taken up by us," unless of course we look at the church and its behaviour itself plus also any thing free that is on offer regardless of who or where it came from.
Poor Uganda will never shake itself from one form of dictatorship or another.
LGBT Ugandans have been repeatedly threatened, harassed or attacked. Many have fled the country but the home office seems to ignore their plight and what the true state of the countries policies towards Lgbts is.
When will the world see that sexuality is just as important a liberty and fundamental right as any other?

Plus – it's very easy to say that there are no homosexuals in a country that believes in killing and/or incarcerating homosexuals.

t w, this thing you call God didn't create men or women. They evolved from apes, a scientifically proven fact. If fundamentalist christians believe the world is only 6,000 years old, then how do they explain the existence of prehistoric animals dating millions of years back, long before men and women came into being? If this thing referred to as God existed and can be proved to exist, then why wait hundreds of millions of years to create humans if humans according to religious philosoph are the most important of all creation? What would be the point? Why would this planet need humans anyway?

hhmm but pouring huge sums of FOREIGN aid money into your private swiss bank accounts is acceptable.
Africa makes me sick the way their deeply corrupt tyrants assume despotism as something perculiar to Africa & are setting up the 21st century as one which is destined to repeat all the struggles which people had to make against political power in the west during the 20th Century.
