Er…I think not, John. Maybe I missed that, eh? I hate it when people talk about things being 'proved' when they're actually not. I'd expect that from a PR person, but not from a politician.
Perhaps children do benefit from 'teamwork' in their upbringing (to share the work, to bring a variety of opinions, to provide an 'ally' when one person disagrees with their child, etc) but I don't think that teamwork has to come from a mother and father.
But then, some people would prefer that children are placed with a 'normal' married couple even if a same sex couple might provide a better home. I've heard a number of reasons to 'prove' why this is best, but NONE of them made sense.

His non-belief does not mean that our families do not exist! He should be more concerned about the welfare of children, than his hatefulness and discrimination against adults.

yeah well over here in the UK. Kids are running amoke , knifing each other at the drop of a hat. And guess what 99.9% of them all come form those bastions of society, straight hetro households. So all those family values are really working . NOT
