The makers of a wooden "eco-friendly" dildo have claimed that the product can "help save the planet."
The sex toy, called an Eco-Dildo, is made from "carefully selected" wood and polished "to make it silky smooth."
Perhaps the most eye-catching claim made in the press materials for the product is the assertion that not only has there "never been a more pleasurable way to save the planet" but that it could prove useful if the global economy takes a tumble.
"While oil prices continue rocketing to new heights, the Eco-Dildo is made from natural and sustainable materials, rather than plastic, so your pleasure will never end."
The Eco-Dildo's press release also claims a long lineage for the product.
"For over 30,000 years handmade dildos have been used and enjoyed, now you can enjoy a wholly natural experience too."
A Willow bush will be planted with each purchase and the purchaser will receive a "personalised certificate."
