What a negative way to spend your entire life preaching discrimination, hatred, bigotry and hypocrisy against an entire group of people. I'm convinced that the overhwheling majority of these bible punchers are disturbed, damaged, demented, insane, psychotic sick people with nothing else better to do than obsess about gay relationships, gay sex, gay pride, gay adoption, gay equality, you name it. I suspect many of them have a lot unresolved sexual issues of their own to be spending so much time meddling in ours. Prurient interest perhaps or are they just plain jealous of us?

What a ridiculous fuss about the two vicars celebrating their union in church! It is truly astonishing given all the huge threats to world peace, the world economy and indeed the very survival of the world itself, that some Christians spend so much time conspiring in hatred against a simple act of love. Congratulations to the happy couple – if the bigots in our society wish to air their irational prejudices they should do so in the privacy of their own homes and not inflict their tragic hypocracies on the rest of us. Now that naked rascism and sexism is now publically unnacceptable, homophobia has become the last bastion of the scoundrel. 50 years ago such people would be castigating mixed marriages or the idea of black or female members of the golf club, 100 years ago they'd have been fighting votes for women and 200 years ago they would be campaigning against the abolition of slavery. For goodness sake, join the 21st Century, put hate to one
side and love thy neighbour, whether they be straight or gay – then you will be a true christian.

once and for all religions do not want us to be gay .
well good we do not want religions either .
god does not exist . all this so called morals and traditions are MAN MADE .enough lies . religions have no rights to control our lives .they are lie and thus no moral stand .

Congratulations to David and Peter for standing up for their love and showing the church up for what it truly is, a foundation of two faced biggots. Please we all know the churches are full of gay people working in them who have had to hide and deny their true identities due to archaic laws and persecution from those who call them selves 'christians'. Does anybody really believe anymore in a God, every religion claims to be the right one, yet they have all done nothing but cause death and uprest trying to prove it, still going on today. These people are also human like us, why should they have to hide their feelings, life is too short. Go back to your bells and smells and Godbothering, it won't deter us or put us back!

The church should set the standard that God has given for marriage and not reflect the direction in which society is going."

"When the Civil Partnership Act was passed the Government stated quite clearly that this was not marriage but a civil partnership."

"In this we see two men trying to stretch what people said the law was intended to mean."

So, how can they prove this entity they call "God" has set the standard for marriage? Whom did he speak to and where is the evidence? Does anybody really believe let alone imagine that some unproven deity can actually communicate directly to another person? Its insanity gone awry! Delusional at best! Until someone comes back from the grave to say it is othewise, then I for one will remain a sceptic as well as a nonbeliever. Wasted energy spending an entire life worrying about what may or may not come after, assuming anything does.
