Sinn Féin is the pro–nationalist all-Ireland socialist leaning party that takes the strongest stand on GLBT rights. In the Republic they and Labour support same sex marriage equality while the Greens, FF and FG oppose it, preferring to ‘grant’ us second class citizenship via civil partnerships.

The conservative stance of the Greens, FF and FG is due to their pandering to the residual by still powerful clout of the roman cult. This is in spite of the fact that polling in the Republic indicates that 58 percent support full same sex marriage rights while a mere 26 percent support the inferior second class citizenship option of civil partnerships.

These conservatives are ignoring what the poll clearly expresses, that even in a country infested with priests, a total of 84 percent support us. That’s no doubt due to the fact that most people have a healthier understanding of the utter decadence of the christist cults after years of ever widening sexual abuse scandals. It’s hard to have respect for priests while these unspeakably depraved men are repeatedly caught raping young boys and girls.

The fact that SF welcomes us with open arms and proudly supports the GLBT struggle for equality is just one of the reasons Sinn Féin continues to grow at the expense of conservatives. The others are their long record in defense of Irish civil rights against DUP goons and paramilitaries and their continued calls for economic democracy.
