This "leak" of patently false information (by someone in the MOD?) has led to her being insulted on the street by people naturally outraged that she should be getting more than any soldier blinded or crippled in combat. Jan's taking action via the Press Council on this. It looks like a deliberate attempt to make sure she gathers no public sympathy for her past mistreatment by the MOD. Yet another dirty trick. I repeat, she hasn't received a penny, and has stated she wouldn't accept such a sum if offered. Jan hasn't received a single penny.
