On a radio hustings earlier this month, discussing the apology Ken made at 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade last year, Boris announced that he wouldn't have made such an apology. How any LGBT person could vote for a man who refuses to acknowledge the offence his remarks about Section 28/civil partnerships caused is beyond me. I was wrong, and I see the issues more clearly" - or something to that ilk. That's all he had to say, and I would have respected him tonnes more for it. He tangled himself up so unnecessarily. Fool! I'm sure he means well. But will politicians learn, just to be genuine, be accountable for past remarks that are there in black and white, answer a question head on. On the 3 men and a dog remark - well, he was trying to make a richard dawkins type remark questioning the meaning of marriage and morality. But with such clumsiness, that by doing so he is either venerating bestiality, or comparing bestiality with same sex relations, like Mick Huckerbee did.I see a lot of people at the interview there seemingly getting sanctimoneous, but indeed why should anyone interfere with the intimate consenting affairs of others? My verdict is that Boris isn't homophobic, but has gone through life without thinking.
