while we can't really object to Poland's move, since the UK has opted out to meet its specific demands, it is sad that human rights, that are supposed to underpin the EU from the citizen's point of view, are so easily considered optional when economic, financial, or political matters intrude. It reminds one how fragile such "rights" are when they are so easily disposed of.Either the rights are RIGHTS and considered universal, and applied across the EU (as a start) or they're privileges given to us by politicians, and equally easy to remove from us to suit political aims.
