In the 1930's and 40's Jews swarmed to leave Poland because of their pervasive anti-semitism while their attitude towards gays and Gypsies wasn't any better. Here we are today - supposedly welcoming the 'new' Poland into the 21st Century and the enlightened European Community when, in fact, nothing has changed. If nothing else, Poland is consistent in its myopic social and religious attitudes.
