Runners invited to do their bit for gay rights
In the light of their successful performance last year, The Lesbian and Gay Foundation (LGF) have once again secured places in the Manchester Run.
The charity are inviting people to team up and join them in what promises to be one of the biggest 10km events in the world.
The LGF is one of the UK's largest gay charities, offering a variety of services and supporting the lesbian, gay and bisexual community, such as legal advice and a free helpline.
The run will take place in Manchester on Sunday 18th May.
The LGF will be offering training 'jogs' to help people get into shape.
This year's Manchester Run entry fee for charity runners is £42.
However, if participants decide to run for the LGF and are confident enough that they can raise over £100 then the entry cost is optional.
People are also welcome to show their support by cheering for the Team LGF runners.
Application forms for the Manchester Run are available from Simon Pearson simon@lgf.org.uk or 0161 235 8003.
Saturday 24th May 2008 LGF is holding leading a 'Walk Against Homophobia' in Manchester.
