Sue, just what kind of sex education are British school children receiving anyway? Are they being taught about birth control and STD's? Is this part of the curricula in our schools? If not, it should be. Perhaps there is not enough sex-education regarding the downside in having sex irresponsibly and without protection. The UK has the highest rate of teenage births in Europe, something is very wrong and I suspect it IS education that is at fault, or the lack thereof. But I agree with you though, why should taxpayers support these leeches?

Stops offering benefits and housing to teenage mums, all it does is encourage them, make their parents more responsible, if they want their children to keep a baby then they must be liable financially to the baby's upkeep, not the taxpayer. What have these teenage mum's contributed to the system, nothing, as most have probably never done a days work, but they are the one reaping all the benefits. Handing out condoms and more sex edcuation is a total waste of time, you only have to watch The Jeremy Kyle show for proof of this. Why can't the government see this? Children having children on perpetuates the massive problem we have in UK. Sue Bedford
