I agree with the Sister and Michael, you lot are just too quick to defend and claim victimisation. Given the recent news on this case I would hope you all come back on this forum and, like the rest of us, save all our thoughts and prayers for the victims and families of these atrocities – not for the people committing them!! And lets all wish that the people responsible all burn in hell.

Surely inorder to get to the position of LGBT Youth chief executive, a panel and CRB Check was undertaken. Although looking at the age of Jamie Rennie 37 I would say that he was fast tracked……..but by whom? Paedophiles gravitate to working in these positions and he would have access to alot of vulenerable children.

has it not occurred to you that he may be guilty of these disgusting and immoral acts? just because he is a gay it doesnt automatically mean he is being victimised. honestly, you people always play the 'victim' card. why dont you just accept that a mentally ill person is capable of despicable and unforgivable acts?

This story does not add up. Under what circumstances was James Rennie arrested? Was he caught inflgrante delicto, sending or receiving underage porn via the internet, soliciting minors? How did police know he had purportedly illegal child porn in his possession or is he a victim of internet entrapment, a despicable tactic used by police? Deliberately setting a trap to catch a potential criminal is criminal in and of itself.

Unfortunately, such is my justified distrust in ALL matters relating to homophobic police and ANYTHING to do with gay people because of what has happened in Cornwall in the last few years.It would not surprise me in the slightest if this was not yet ANOTHER homophobic police situation.It was after all the HOME OFFICE which reported in 2005 that HOMOPHOBIA was ENDEMIC in the police force…THEY WERE NOT KIDDING!LGBT officers…a fiasco, if when one reports names of police officers misconduct…they CHOOSE to do nothing as happens in Cornwall.We will have to see regarding the Scotland situation..but as a gay person who has personally experienced GROSS Homophobic misconduct,attitudes practises by police on numerous occassions…as a Gay Person I do not trust ANY Police officer anymore or the Judicial System.

Adrian, I agree. The doublestandard in the point you made that the age of consent is 16 while anyone under 18 is regarded as a child makes no sense whatsoever. If they're considered "adult" enough to have sex at 16, then that too should apply when it relates to porn. They're having children at 14 nowadays so I fail to see how nude images of a 16 or 17 year old constitutes any illegality.

IF IT TURNS OUT THAT THE SO-CALLED "CHILD PORN" IS NO MORE THAN IMAGES OF 16 OR 17 YEAR OLDS THEN IT WILL DEMONSTRATE THE INIQUITOUS ABSURDITY OF A LAW THAT DEFINES A "CHILD" AS SOMEONE UNDER 18 YEARS WHILE THE AGE OF CONSENT IS 16 YEARS. TO CRIMINALISE THE POSSESSION OF AN IMAGE OF SOMETHING THAT IS OTHERWISE LEGAL IS AN OUTRAGEOUS AFFRONT TO COMMONSENSE AND IT IS TO BE HOPED THAT IF MR RENNIE IS THE VICTIM OF SUCH AN INJUSTICE HE WILL TAKE THE ISSUE ALL THE WAY TO THE EUROPEAN COURT!
