If you like this then please subscribe to the The chief executive of LGBT Youth Scotland has been remanded in custody charged with possession of indecent images of a child or children under the age of 18.
Jamie Rennie, 37, is also charged with sending a message that is grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing, reports The Herald.
He was committed for trial on December 24th.
He has been suspended from LGBT Youth Scotland, a national organisation working towards the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people.
Established in 1989, it supports young people, families and professionals and supports a network of 14 to 25 year-olds and groups.
The National Board of LGBT Youth Scotland made the following statement:
"LGBT Youth Scotland has been made aware by Lothian and Borders Police that Jamie Rennie has been arrested in connection with the investigation of a serious offence.
"We have acted immediately to suspend Jamie Rennie from his post as Chief Executive pending the outcome of the police investigations.
It would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this stage."
Mr Rennie, who is from Edinburgh, is a former board member of The LGBT Centre for Health Wellbeing.
Previous reports that he had been involved with the UK's leading gay equality organisation Stonewall are incorrect.
In fact LGBT Youth Scotland were previously called 'Stonewall Youth Project' until 2001 but changed their name to avoid confusion with the famous LGB lobbying group.
