I hope yours is the first of a few articles about what is in the files on how Iran mistreats its gay people.However, I believe you should have mentioned that a global gay activist in San Francisco used Britain&#039;s Freedom of Information Act to obtain the files.I&#039;m not saying you had to mention me by name or anything, and I am very appreciative of the link to my blog, but you should have shed some light on how the files came to be released.Why? To show how easy it is to use FOI laws in the UK to get files, and so quickly too. Plus, one doesn&#039;t need to live in the UK to request and obtain public records.Imagine if we had dozens of other gays filing similar requests with the UK, USA and other governments for records on gay foreign issues!best,michael</description>
