This assertion is inconsistent with the New York Observer article you cite (see ), which states Van Capelle's objection to Clinton's "support for DOMA." As I'm sure you know, DOMA and the FMA are not the same creatures. One is an enacted statute; the other is a proposal to amend the US constitution.
