I daresay it will have the same effect in the U.K. and elsewhere where there is no equality. Its quite telling though that it drew the largest number of movie-goers, even pre-empting Harry Potter. Hopefully, heterosexuals will rise above their homophobia and open up discussion about marriage equality.Robert, ex-pat Brit.
