Catholics call for boycott over SM apostles
A Roman Catholic pressure group is calling for a boycott of a brewing company's products after their logo appeared on a gay advert.
Bill Donaghue, president of the Catholic League For Religious and Civil Rights, called for the boycott of Miller on US breakfast show Fox and Friends this morning.
The move follows Miller's sponsorship of the Folsom Street Fair, which takes place on September 30th, during San Francisco's Leather Pride Week.
Mr Donaghue labelled the fair, "an incredibly outrageous and palpably anti-Christian event" after The Sisters of Perpetual of Indulgence, one of several organisations receiving funding from the fair, spoofed Christ's Last Supper in publicity material.
According to Catholic League sources, posters featured: "a sadomasochistic scene where sex toys are placed on the table of the Last Supper, flanked by half-naked homosexuals."

The Sisters' website describes their work as supporting the queer and sex positive community and promoting "wellness, identity, tolerance and diversity."
Miller said in response: "We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organisers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately."
Andy Copper, president of Folsom's board of directors, added: "There was no intention to be particularly pro-religion or anti-religion with this poster; the image is intended one to be reminiscent of the 'Last Supper' painting."
Mr Donaghue, however, expressed anger that Miller is still sponsoring the fair, which includes an event called 'The Sisters' Last Supper.'
The Catholic League is asking a group of over 200 religious organisations, including Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Protestants to boycott the brand.
The Catholic League's website contains 43 photos from last year's fair, including members of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, acts of SM and a giant penis carved from ice.
