This fight between primates is a tempest in a cesspool. The world of priests, mullahs, bishops, pastors, imams, ministers, rabbis, preachers and all such grand gaseous gumbahs is inhabited by bungling creatures unable to productively work for a living. So they turn their collars around, proclaim that they're on a mission from god, and pass the collection plate. They combat demons, exorcise devils, do healings and bless the armies as they march off to butcher. One and all, they claim to have a direct line to the sky gods. They’re frightened to admit, even to themselves, that attendance in their crumbling churches, temples, and mosques is a humiliating fraction of the turnout in the temples of the real giants of the fantasy industry; Disney, Sony and Industrial Light and Magic, etc. With those credentials, and with voodoo dogmas little changed since the howling madness of the Dark Ages, it should not come as a revelation from on high that their handouts of hollow sympathy are just a face saving cover up to mask their antigay bigotry and misogyny.

George, he's playing both sides, he knows on which side his bread is buttered. If the Episcopalians do have a split, and they should, a vast portion of the funding that Akinola's rabble enjoy comes primarily from the very people Akinola wants to break away from. Episcopalians, most of them liberal send vast amounts of money to third world countries. That may end once the split occurs and none too sooner. Williams is placating the Episcopalians because of that, its about money and power.He's a coward, no matter how you look at it. I doubt if he'll come up with anything new when he has that "secret" meeting at St Peter's in Belgravia either. I'd be very surprised if he changes his stand on gay clergy in civil partnerhips, ergo that they should not engage in sexual activity. I can't imagine that anyone in their right mind thinks that gay clergy couples don't have sex. Its laughable and absurd, he knows it too. I welcome a schism, long overdue and put greater distance between Rome and Canterbury. Nice work Williams, keep it up!

"I do not assume that homosexual inclination is a disease", says the archbishop. Well that's big of him, and the wording he uses is so typical of his pussyfooting approach. Why hasn't he got the guts to say categorically "homosexual inclination is *not* a disease"?And what, I wonder, has he got to say about homosexual practices?
