I agree with Rebekah totally. I will add, however, that contrary to popular belief, and based on clinical evidence that homosexuality is not something one is born with.
And let's be practical, if we leave 'families' to homosexuals the world would never have a food shortage! Famine, like people would be a thing of the past.

If it were not the Catholic Church and a Muslim organisation that ran these organisations, I suspect they would have not got an iota of pressure. It is wrong for gay people to adopt because homosexual acts are unnatural and I shudder to see innocent kids being brought up thinking it's completely normal. Have you ever wondered why men and men and women and women can't conceive?!

You complain, insult and shake your fists at people objecting on the grounds of their conscience-tell me if by some miracle Hitler was resurrected, would you by his law carry out his aims or by your own conscience object? Basically it is easier to find fault in others than yourselfs-can you not see that in your words of anger, you yourselfs look even uglier than any of the 'bad' things that you yourselfs describe. Consider that.

This "law" is not a law designed for the best interest of the people, therefore it is not considered to be a law that is placed before the law of God. Religious rights do not fall below man made rights. It is the forcing of this "law" onto the Catholic church that is going to cause the children to be displaced, not the theology of our religion.

I think the saddest thing in all this is the children. I hope they find new agencies free from bigotry to find them loving and caring homes, whoever they might be and whatever their future parents sexuality might be. Shame on the Cathiolic Church for being so ill informed and selfish.

Roberto, here in the USA during the paedophilia investigations, the majority of the perpetrators were preying on boys. Having said that, one notorious catholic bigot here by the name of William Donohue, president of the catholic league, an organisation in charge of overseeing accurate reporting about catholicism in the media has gone on record as saying that paedophilia = gay. The vatican has remained silent. So its now unofficially the view that being gay and a paedophile are one and the same thing. Dohonoue makes no mention of the straight paedophiles involved, simply dismisses it as an aberration because this incident had fewer molestations involving females.So I say again, good riddance to catholic adoption agencies in the UK. They've certainly cornered the market on hypocrisy.Robert, ex-pat Brit.

Outstanding! The next pressure points should be their hospitals and schools, but the decisive battle will be over their 'right' to incite violence from the pulpit and in print. And then there’s the little question of the organized gang of pedophiliac hooligans and boy rapists called the priesthood. When we’ve won those battles then we can say goodbye and good riddance to groups that promote bigotry, violence, rape, irrationality and superstition. Now that's what I call a 'gay agenda'.

Shame on every person who calls themselves catholic.—oh i don't know. i can think of a few people i know who will be deaply ashamed ove rthis as they have been over the continued bigotry of the church.As has been said: they're psudo-religious bigitory is more importent than the Children in their care. Do we want people like this (let us remembe rthat the Catholic church has shelterd Peodaphiles for menny years) to have vunrable children in their care?

In a word "Tough". I think it was disgraceful for the RC Church to attempt to blackmail to get its own way and continue with their bigotted and homophobic treatment of potenial Gay adoptees.I dare say some other more enlightened organisation will take up where the Roman Catholic Church leaves off.Anyway, I really don't think we need lectures from a church that is about to hand over many, many millions to the victims of their "straight" paedophile priests in the USA!!
