Mike, not one republican (conservative)congressman or senator has castigated Vitter, the classic antigay bigot. He and others like him including the right wing religious bigots are the true threat to marriage, not gays. Seems like he forgot…"thou shalt not commit adultery" among many other things. How convenient for him! They've lost the moral argument against same-sex marriage, and they prove it everytime they fall from grace. What a bunch of dumb ignoramuses.Robert, ex-pat Brit.

i feel his political status should be taken away and he talks about his wife and god forgiving him but what about the people that voted him in not that i did.

What a pity! A handsome man, but very conflicted. A man who voted to ban same-sex marriage and here he is, cheating on his wife. A republican, a party that in the 2004 election used same-sex marriage as an wedge issue that cost John Kerry the election. The republican party mantra is that gay marriage is a threat to the institution of marriage. Well, Vitter is a prime example of hypocrisy! Take note, all UK conservatives!Robert, ex-pat Brit, USA.
