A tabloid newspaper has today claimed that two leading Premiership footballers are bisexual and have engaged in a gay orgy.

The News of the World, said that the footballers who can not be named for legal reasons were caught on camera in an orgy with well known music industry figure.

The newspaper claims that one player engaged in sexual acts using a mobile phone as a sex toy.

The source of the photos said: "Fans would be stunned if they knew who the players were.

"Both have had girlfriends and one is still in a relationship. If anything they are known as ladies' men-lads who like chasing skirt at nightclubs. They're always in the papers with some glamorous girl or another. Never in a million years would you think they'd be involved in anything like this.

"They all stripped down to their vests and boxers-not exactly the sort of gear you'd just sit around in for a chat. And then they're in the bedroom and it all kicks off."

So what if footballers engage in gay sex? Why do tabloids like the News of the World believe that it is in the public interest to report on the details of an individual's private life?

We live in a free society where individuals are free to engage in sexual acts with a consenting partner.

The newspaper does not claim that either of the two footballers have broken the law, therefore what right does the News of the World have to breach their privacy?
