Gay Night on BBC Radio Manchester will now be broadcast on Mondays - and it will be twice as long.
The popular community show, previously called GayTalk, is moving from 6.30pm Wednesday to Monday evenings at 8pm.
With the show now an hour long, there will be twice as many features and guests and more music.
Gay Night is broadcast as part of the Citizen Manchester strand of community programmes on BBC Radio Manchester and reflects the stations drive to feature community programmes in primetime slots.
Presenter and producer Ashley Byrne told PinkNews.co.uk:
"I'm delighted that we're going up to an hour - it will mean more chances to tackle the big issues affecting the LGBT community today, in Britain and beyond."
"It's the first and still the only gay radio programme on the BBC and it's fantastic to represent the LGBT community in a cosmopolitan city like Manchester."
Ashley went on to acknowledge the significance of the show being broadcast online via the BBC website, saying:
"Being the only gay show we don't just report on issues that affect Manchester, and it's pleasing that people listen to us online from all over the UK and abroad."
Gay Night is available on the BBC's Listen Again service
