Head of CPS gay network guilty of underage sex
A former senior manager at the Crown Prosecution Service has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenager.
William Hollins, 42, also pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.
His trial was due to start this morning at Nottingham Crown Court, but he admitted the offences before it began.
He molested the boy between June and September 2005, the Birmingham Post reports.
Hollins, of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, was the chairman of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Network in the CPS.
He will be sentenced tomorrow.
Further offences of sexual activity with a 16-year-old boy and another of sexual assault are to remain on file.
Hollins was the regional manager for Gloucestershire Crown Prosecution Service.
He set up the LGBT Network for CPS staff in 2002 at an event designed to tackle homophobic crime.
The network raises awareness of LGBT issues and promotes equality and diversity as well as providing a gateway of support and assistance to LGBT staff in the workplace and a forum for discussion.
The CPS is responsible for advising whether criminal cases should be sent to courts in England and Wales.
