Celebs come out for Elton John film
Sir Elton John was joined by X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, Sting, Girls Aloud and ex-Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell to launch his new film in Leicester Square last night.
The gay musical legend unveiled his new film, transgender comedy It's a Boy Girl Thing, at a premiere to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Sharon Osbourne also has a part in the film.
Sir Elton revealed that he may be a compere at next summer's Concert for Diana, the BBC reports.
He told reporters, "They said there might be a role for me doing the MC bit by linking it all together, which I don't mind doing.
"The princes will choose all the acts and if I can help co-ordinate it, I will."
He has already been confirmed as a performer and is rumoured to be considering rehashing Candle in the Wind, the song he performed at Diana's funeral.
Sir Elton will be hoping for better success with this film after his Broadway musical Lestat, based on Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire books, ended after just 39 performances and 33 previews.
