They even shut Paisley's trap.The CPA came into force after great delay ,Britain has lagged years behind our European Partners in this type of legislation.There had always been a powerful covert lobby in New Labour that on religious grounds that has fought to prevent the implementation of gay rights especially when they felt these rights would impinge on the privileges of "marriage" - whatever constitutes "marriage" today.
