Anyone who ever said "Seig Heil, Mein Fuhrer", as the Pope did in about 1944 and 1945 as a draftee into the german army, has no business being pope. Sure, he was a youngster, and prob. had no choice. If he were an ordinary priest, I would say fine, but there are some stains upon humankind's soul that should forever disqualify someone from such a position as the leader of a 1 billion member church.

And his position on the suffering of gay people is one of total hypocrisy and lies. Why? Because the church realizes they have been telling lies for millenia. They dare not admit their lies to their members, who really are victims. And once the people in general realize that gay people are ordinary decent people entitled to our love and respect as members of humankind, they will start to question the conservative, backwards looking faiths like the Catholic church.

And the people will do the right thing, and leave, or never join the church. And their whole corrupt house of cards will come tumbling down. They will end up preaching to the dust in the pews and the dust of their departed. While civilization becomes more relevant to the Golden Rule.

What a laugh! The pope raves and rants as he does, because he can see his own power (personal corporate) slipping away. He longs to be surrounded by obeisant, compliant, elderly misogynists who'll hang on every word he says. But he is continually frustrated by these pesky, non-compliant "democracies"! Folks, *he* is the one who is weak irrelevant. We gay people will still be around, when the pope all he represents is a vague memory of a stupid past.
