Europe's only gay hip-hop festival is organised and presented by Pac-Man and gayhiphop.com crew (QBoy, Mistermaker, NineBob Gideon).

Gay culture and hip-hop have always had what can best be described as an icy relationship, yet it is hoped the hosting of a gay hip hop festival may go some way in helping to thaw this notoriously difficult relationship.

US stars Mary J. Blige, Kanye West and L'il Kim have all campaigned on gay issues and tried to in part heal rifts between hip hop culture and gay lifestyle.

PeaceOUT is hoping to further combine the two communities, by returning to London with their popular homo hip hop festival.

The first event was held in California in 2002, subsequently spreading to other US States and cities, before receiving its British debut in August 2005.

Europe's only gay hip-hop festival is organised and presented by Pac-Man and gayhiphop.com crew (QBoy, Mistermaker, NineBob Gideon).

Organisers are planning a packed live urban showcase featuring well known rappers, singers, poets and DJ's from the homo-hop scene. In addition the event aims to bring urban talents of the gay community to the forefront with appeals for new and upcoming artists.

The event takes place from 20th - 26th October, with the festival opening at

DiTch Bar (145 Shoreditch High Street, London, E1 6JE) on Friday October 20th at 9pm.
