Spain holds first gay divorce
Spain has had its first gay divorce just a year after marriage was opened up to same sex couples in the country.
The unnamed men are currently arguing over custody of the marital home and their dogs.
According to Spanish paper El Mundo, the complainant who has filed for divorce is complaining that he had to give up a modelling career and dog grooming business to follow his partner to France.
The split echoes an increase of divorce rates in Spain.
Spain was the third country to allow gay marriages just a week before Canada introduced the legislation, which had already been implemented in the Netherlands and Belgium.
