Five white supremacist homophobes were jailed today for their producing and distributing 'Stormer', a magazine that published instructions on making bombs and aimed to initiate a "racial holy war.

Articles included a tribute to David Copeland, who murdered three people in a series of nail bombs targeting members of ethnic minorities and the gay community in London. The bombing of the Admiral Duncan pub on Old Compton Street, Soho, in 1999 killed three people including a pregnant woman, her husband's best man and her close friend.

Included alongside the tribute was a do-it-yourself guide to building a nail bomb, which included the gruesome advice to "keep your nails in a bag of horse manure. When embedded in the flesh it will poison the blood."

The magazine also featured a "Roast a Rabbi" competition which encouraged readers to set fire to Synagogues.

Max Hill, prosecuting, told the court that the RVF was a spin off from the violent Combat 18 group of extreme racists. Mr Hill said, "although they cannot claim affiliation to any mainstream political party, they joined forces under various slogans and banners, in particular the Racial Volunteer Force".

In all, three additions of the magazine were published in 2003. The publication only ceased when police raided the home of the distributor, Nigel Piggins and his lock up sites around Leicestershire.

Piggins, together with his co-defendants Jonathan Hill, Stephen Bostock and Michael Denis all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to publish a magazine with the intention of inciting racial hatred.

Hill was jailed for four years and Denis for a year whilst Piggins and Bostock were jailed for two and a half years each.

Kevin Quinn pleaded guilty to possessing a banned November 9th Society Nazi booklet and was given a nine month suspended sentence.
