Courtney Cox has avoided having her family's private matters exposed in public

Actress Courtney Cox has avoided having her family's private matters exposed in public, quite literally.

Her brother in law, transsexual Alexis Arquette, sibling of Cox' husband, David Arquette, was set to have a sex change operation live on television.

The programme would have aired in the US under the title, Alexis Are-Cut.

Whilst David is reported to be supportive of his brother's lifestyle, him and Cox were reluctant to appear on the show.

However, the programme has now been dropped after Alexis decided it would be inappropriate to film the operation and recovery process.

His sister, Rosanna, said: It's private. We all support him and wouldn't want him to be involved in any sort of circus act surrounding his decision."
