Two men wanted for anti-gay London murder
The Metropolitan Police are hunting to men who beat a man to death in a homophobically influenced attack on Clapham Common in south London.
Jody Dobrowski, 24, was found unconscious in the early hours of Saturday but died later in hospital.
He appealed to the gay community to help catch the killer and asked anyone attacked on the common to come forward.
Speaking to the media the lead police office on the case, Detective Chief Inspector Nick Scola, said, "He was the victim of a sustained and violent assault.
"There were other people in the area at the time of the attack and homophobic insults were heard. For that reason I am convinced it was a homophobic attack."
The police have made it clear that they have yet to establish whether Mr Dobrowski was gay although they believe that the men who attacked him thought him to be.
One suspect is white, between 20 and 30, 6ft tall, with shaved hair and the second is of the same race and age but shorter and stockier.
