Codex, did you even read the article or any of the comments? It's never a clever idea to lampoon people you hate in a way that's contrary to how they've acted. Just makes you look even more of an idiot.

He's not my type, but that Kate certainly is very pleasing on the eyes. It's a shame we don't get to see her sans make-up very often.

I don't know Mihangel… Sugar does come across some total buffoons and bullshitters, it's understandable, frankly….

Look, risk taking is what made Sugar's millions, so of course he wants more of the same. Given that we're all in troubled waters with the recession, Howard's answer could have been "I wonder if the chairman of the white star line made a similar warning about 'playing it safe' to the captain of the Titanic, as it set off on its attempt to win the blue riband…." .

not homophobic, just bad-mannered (With the explanation that he doesn't have time for 'ordinary people'). I bet Sugar would have time for the ordinary people who may save his life. And the ordinary people who are careful with his money in his businesses.

From what I've read, I'd say Sugar has all the hallmarks of a bully. His contempt for everone that doesn't seem "successful" to him, or do the things to keep him content in appalling.

I do wonder why the public choose to watch such programmes that seem oriented around humiliation.

It was clearly written tongue in cheek to point out how out of control all of this PC b*llsh*t is getting and how insanely intolerant so many who whip up hysteria each time the mildest perceived example of homophobia is reported on this site come across. Speaking as an openly gay male; none of Sir Alan's decisions reflect even remotely on homophobia! Quite frankly codex you seem to be a lot of what's wrong with it all-of course we have rights but at the same time we desire such rights to become equals to the rest. And if Sir Alan kept a candidate in for the completely irrelevant fact of sexual orientation then I think that deserves ten times the investigation when compared to your feelings of a "thinly veiled homophobia" existing just because a potentially flawed candidate was removed. This is where its all going wrong-and potentially white, heterosexual men of english origin are the most discriminated against and quite frankly what right do we have to diminish anyone elses opportunities/chances of success just to "get one over" on the implied opposition.

Bravo to Howard though and AdrianT makes a very valid point!

Ooh, Sir Alan MUST be homophobic! Having fired all of the coloured participants, he then picks on our poor Howard. Shame! I am reporting him to Ben Zeroskill at Stonewall. It says in the article that it was Howard who suggested rebranding Margate for the gay pound. That is not true. It was straight James who came up with that idea.
