The EU parliament isn't perfect but at least the election is by PR so my vote could make a difference. Ive been impressed by Caroline Lucas over the past 10 years so I will be voting Green. Hopefully we can get the Common Agricultrual Policy changed or scrapped so that our tax money isn't used to subsidise bullfighting. Since it is no longer possible to get even a Rizla paper between the policies of the Tories and New Labour then I shall not be voting for the latter either. Of the three main parties, the LibDems probably appeal most, but they don't fit with my political position either. The Greens seem to be the least authoritarian/controlling and have gay friendly and planet friendly policies too, so they are getting my vote. One thing is for sure though, I'll not be staying home and NOT voting, thus letting any of the other tired old parties (wasters, all of them!) get in by default. I cannot in conscience vote for a party who thinks my sexuality means that my relatioship should be denied equality under the law. Civil Partnerships are unacceptable. I had always intended to vote Green as they support full equality. They have not been harmed by the expenses row so I'm keeping my vote with them.
