Little Britain comedian David Walliams' on stage stripteases are attracting both gay and straight applause.

The star strips off as the character Sebastian, the Prime Minister's gay assistant in the stage version of the show, and is said to have hoped getting naked would attract more female fans.

But now the 31 year old, who has had relationships with Abi Titmuss and Patsy Kensit is reportedly a gay icon.

A source told the Daily Express, "During the show David becomes totally naked. There were a lot of screams, and not just from the females. He also had quite a lot of mail, mainly from men."

Meanwhile, in a move that would certainly excite Sebastian, the Sunday Mirror reports that real life Prime Minister Tony Blair has taken to conducting meetings in his shorts.

His aide said: "Tony hates what he has called the 'tyranny' of being forced to wear a suit. He is very much in favour of dressing down whenever possible."

A BBC spokesman thought about how Sebastian would react, "He'd be drooling all over the place at the sight of Tony Blair's naked knees.

"He would pounce on the PM in an instant."
