Robin Clarke, 39, from Avenue Road, has been charged with murder and was due to appear at Enfield Magistrates’ Court today.

A neighbour of Mr Phillps in Nighton Park Road told the Bromley News he was gay and would often be seen walking his dog with his partner, believed to be a plumber.

He added: “I didn’t even know his name but it is a shock to hear he has died.”
