Mayor Bloomberg also made a wonderful speech in support of the bill. This too shall pass sooner or later making New York the fifth state if New Jersey and New Hampshire don't beat us to the post. The tide is turning in our favour. As more states open marriage to gay couples, its going to make it increasingly difficult for other countries, particularly in western Europe to resist change, including to some extent the UK.
