Opus Dei. Of course, why didn't I think of that? For that matter why didn't the writer of this article omit this rather relevant little tidbit? Sounds to me like someone is having fun making us second-guess the motives of the weirdest bunch of (very rich) Catholics in the world.

The fact that she's Spanish doesn't necessarily have anything to do with her dementia. She would simply not hold onto her job as a University professor in a Catholic institution if she gave the slightest indication of thinking for herself. Like all the prelates at the Vatican and other Catholic Universities, you either tow the party line or it's «here's your hat, what's your hurry?» Anyone who know about bioethics these days knows that Galileo was once in the same predicament. But yes, she deserves professional help; when a person is hurt and bleeding like that, she needs all the help she can get, and I don't mean a sprinkling of holy water or a set of prayer beads carved from pieces of the real cross. What a pity to see an intelligent woman cave in to the patriarchy.

Course she's a bible basher, she teaches in a catholic university, like it said in the story You don't get to teach in one of those places unless you practise what they preach. Thankfully, she is in a country which is slowly but surely throwing off religion and getting a life.

I hope this woman is not a professor of biology, genetics,psychiatry or an MD because if she is I feel sorry for her students. They are receiving some archaic biological, genetic,psychiatry and/or medical science and should get their money back! I would suggest that this professor go back to back to university to take some updated and more advanced science courses or get out teaching altogether which very well may be the best thing for her students and society.

Judging from the photo, it looks like at least 40 years have passed since this professor would have been studying at university herself. Psst, much has changed since the 60s, dear! I'd prefer that she receive urgent attention from the Courts not a doctor.
Funny how all these people categorise 'normal' as everything THEY do. Maybe she'd like to tell the world exactly what she does in the bedroom so other people can tell her that what she does/doesn't do isn't 'normal' because they don't do/do do it? What an inflated ego to think that you're entitled to define normality to others. She just makes herself look extremely stupid and ignorant, proving that an education isn't necessarily a sign of intelligence or tolerance.
