Mind you, I've faced teasing at my workplace and I've given as good as I've got. When my boss had a meeting with me to say that talking about my sexuality in the tea room made other staff uncomfortable and that I shouldn't do it, I explained what the conversation actually was. Did she think I should put up with comments like saying that being bisexual must mean that I buy sex all the time? She looked shocked and backed down, and maybe she had a word to the other worker as I haven't heard those sort of comments since. Maybe it helped that we have a good EEO policy so it was easier not to be intimidated, but I do find that responding with humour can help with educating ignorant co-workers. In case you didn't realise it, all successful bisexuals are fabulously wealthy but we also have good taste so our co-workers are quite safe! And what did they have to gain by saying he would no longer be employed by them in their press release? Was it nasty pay back for having to fork out a settlement to him?
