I was booked with Tucanes and was transferred to another hotel. I fly out on Saturday and I'm still concerned that my partner and I will have no accommodation.

I would like to answer the comment of Paul, there are a number of fine resorts in Gran Canaria, Villas Blancas, Club Mancha, and the new Beachboys, I am sure that who ever takes over Club Tucanes will do a better job than Man Around. And yes I agree with Michael we should not book with the new Man Around resort which I have been told is next to Nayra near the Yumbo, don't know the present name but something "Sol" this company owed Sensations taht went bust last year owing a lot of money, as they can not pay the rent on two resorts (they were evicted from Beachboys last year) how can we trust them with our money, come on guys wake up…..

I and my partner stayed at the Club Tucanes last week, We were told on the Wednesday that we were moving the following Monday, a staff member said they were being kicked out for not paying the rent.On the Friday and Saturday there was no evidence of sewer problems, we discobered that the resort was operated by Man Around who went bust last year. This company should not be permited to open another resort, they have lied about the problems at Club Tucanes. We must ALL stay away from the new complex.

The last time I stayed at Club Tucanes was three years ago almost to the day. I have been there many times before but the building standards etc were deterioating dramatically by then.

One of the bungalows opposite me collapsed, fortunatley while the guest was out, it could easily have killed someone but Club Tucanes were very indiffernet to the whole thing. The building was badly damaged but a "quick fix" repair took place and was completed in a cpl of days! Needless to say the guest refused to stay any longer and I too have never been back since. I still have the photographs taken just after the collapse!

This property is now being taken over by the Beach Boys Resort and will be re-opened in May, after being refurbished. I'm sure this will once again be one of the few quality gay resorts in Playa Del Ingles.
