Organisers have confirmed that acts such as Toyah, Andy Scott-Lee and ex-S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meera will be performing at Blackpool’s fourth Pride festival.

However, the headliner, rumoured to be a big-name star, is being kept under wraps for now.

The festival will take place on the 16th and 17th of May on Dickson Road.

It is being held on the same day as the Eurovision Song Contest and ex-Pop Idol contestant and 2002 entrant Jessica Garlick will be kicking off the Eurovision Party, followed by 2000 entrant Nicki French and from 2007, Scooch, who will be performing in their signature airline uniforms.

Performances from Britain’s Got Talent hoola-hoop sensations Hoop-La-La, and local artists Daniel Foxx, Chelsea Stevens and Joanna Sharrocks have also been confirmed.

Entertainment organiser and vice-chairman Mark Hurste said: “This will undoubtedly be our biggest and best event yet with an all-celebrity line-up performing right in the heart of the gay village.”
