Gay killer escapes jail for second time
A Canadian man serving a life sentence for stabbing his gay lover to death, is on the run for the second time.
Andre Seguin, 41, has been allowed out for the day to take part in a volunteer work programme, but did not return to the minimum security penitentiary in Quebec.
He was given a life sentence for second degree murder in 1989 after his partner, Stephane Croteau was found with 17 stab wounds to his chest and back after an argument over cocaine.
Seguin also escaped in 1997 from the Ste. Anne des Plaines minimum security jail, he was found at home with a female friend.
Quebec Provincial Police yesterday appealed to the public for help in finding Seguin, described as Caucasian, 5-foot-3 and 170 lbs. He has short brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos.
He has a grave illness and is not considered dangerous.
